About Us

Foo Dogs are known as Chinese imperial guardian lions which are typically displayed in pairs representing Yin/Yang, or female/male, and were placed at the entrance of the imperial palace to protect it.  To us, they represent our duty to protect ourselves and our loved ones on a daily basis.

Over the years, Steve (bio) saw a growing need to train himself to be the protector for his own family and felt it was his responsibility to share his passion for defensive tactics with others.  Aware of the dangers of the world, Steve has spent thousands of hours training with law enforcement, military, and other martial artists to develop the most effective training program in the defensive market today.  Along with our elite team of instructors, we have aligned the perfect compliment of training from hand-to-hand to advanced weapons.  In addition to physical skills, we develop the mental mindset as well to survive any threat.

Foo Dogs Defensive Tactics is focused on training in the Charlotte area.  Training programs are offered nationwide to civilians, professionals, agencies, and military personnel.
